We began in 2007 with two writers looking to join a writing group, but decided to start our own.
Since then, we’ve grown to include:
- Peter Atwood (on hiatus)
- Marie Bilodeau (www.mariebilodeau.com)
- Agnes Cadieux
- Geoff Gander
- Derek Kunsken
- Matt Moore (mattmoorewrites.com)
- Hayden Trenholm (www.haydentrenholm.com)
- Elizabeth Westbook-Trenholm
We have all published works in pay markets, are actively writing and interested in the field of SF. (Although some of us also dabble in horror, fantasy, crime fiction and, yes, genre-free “literary” writing.)
What Do You Do?
We are a critiquing group. We meet periodically to review and critique each others works, improving our own work and learning new skills. We also discuss new markets, books we like, upcoming cons and other geeky SF stuff with the goal of furthering our writing careers.
We are not:
- A support/therapy group for distraught writers
- A social club for writers and wanna-be writers to hang out and kvetch
- A drinking club masquerading as a writing group
Cool. I’d Like To Join.
Sorry, we’re a closed group. We’re not like open writing group where people are free to drop in. Not to sound elitist, but we’ve become a cohesive group by growing slowly.
But, if you want to learn more about what we do, let us know and you can stop by to see how we run our meetings.
